During the Kansas City Chiefs’ visit to the White House to celebrate their 2024 Super Bowl championship, tight end Travis Kelce once again stole the spotlight with his humor.
As President Joe Biden addressed the Chiefs, he couldn’t resist making a playful comment about Kelce’s unpredictable nature. “I’d have Travis come up here but God only knows what he would say… Travis come up here,” Biden quipped.
Kelce, never one to shy away from a moment in the limelight, responded with his signature wit. “They told me if I came up here I’d get tased, so I’m gonna go back to my spot.” he joked, to the amusement of the crowd. Taking the mic, Kelce continued, “I’m not going to lie President Biden. They told me if I came up here, I would get tased.”
The Chiefs’ star player kept the laughs coming, starting his remarks with a familiar tone. “My fellow Americans…. It’s nice to see you all again,” he said.
Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and their teammates were also seen enjoying the moment when President Biden finished a press conference with a Chiefs helmet on his head.
The visit to the White House was a memorable one, not just for the honor of being recognized for their championship win, but also for the lighthearted banter that made the event even more special. Travis Kelce’s humorous exchange with President Biden is sure to be a highlight remembered by fans and teammates alike.
