North Las Vegas, Nov. 1, 2023 –
Rising football star 17-year-old SeMauri Johnson was brutally murdered last night while out trick-or-treating with friends in North Las Vegas.
He was killed by two teenagers wearing masks who escaped a car and started shooting at him last Halloween night. He was shot outside of a home near Camino El Dorado and Centennial Parkways.
The football star at a local Vegas High School was an honor roll student who had a really promising future.
According to a release, North Las Vegas Police officers were called to the area of Shadow Oak and Spotted Pony drives at around 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31.
“He was not looking for trouble. He was not that kind of kid,” Johnson, Marisha Johnson (victim’s mother) said.
Officers arrived to discover a shot adolescent. When emergency medical workers arrived, they declared him dead on the spot.
According to report: Two trick-or-treaters left the area prior to police arrival they are said to be juvenile males one wearing all black with a red backpack and a black ski mask the second one was wearing a white scream mask both were wearing blinking lights.
