Marco Wilson NFL Draft
In the 2021 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals selected a promising player in the fourth round with the 136th overall pick.
Marcon Wilson College
Marco Wilson attended the University of Florida from 2017 to 2020, where he began his college football career as a true freshman, showcasing his skills with 34 tackles and 10 passes broken up. In his sophomore year, he earned preseason third-team All-SEC honors but unfortunately suffered an ACL injury two games into the season, leading to a redshirt for the remainder of that year.
Upon returning as a redshirt sophomore, Wilson demonstrated his resilience by recording 36 tackles, 2.5 tackles for a loss, 3 interceptions, and 2 passes broken up. However, during his senior year, he gained attention for an incident in a game against the LSU Tigers on December 12, 2020. Wilson’s celebratory act of throwing a shoe led to an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, ultimately contributing to LSU’s victory with a field goal, concluding the game with a 37–34 win over the Florida Gators.
