Dallas Cowboys Signed 23 Year Old CB in Game Changing Trade to Challenge the Eagles & 49ers

Keep a close eye on Sean Payton’s struggling Denver Broncos, who currently stand at 1-5. They are among the key teams to watch as we approach the trade deadline on October 31.

Making it to the playoffs appears to be quite a challenge for the Broncos at the moment. Nevertheless, the upcoming trade deadline offers GM George Paton a fantastic chance to gather valuable future assets by trading away some of their key players.

Trade rumors are buzzing, particularly involving star wide receivers Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy, and even the name of offensive tackle Garett Bolles has come up in recent talks. But here’s the interesting twist: If a strong offer comes in for their All-Pro cornerback, Patrick Surtain II, would the Broncos be open to considering it?

As per the Broncos insider, Benjamin Allbright, all the talk about trading Surtain is just hot air. He’s made it crystal clear that the 21st overall first-round pick is off the table, and they’re not entertaining any offers for it – it’s “untouchable.”

A player as talented as Surtain could seamlessly strengthen a Super Bowl hopeful such as the Dallas Cowboys. It’s natural to ponder: What if Jerry Jones and his team make an offer to the Broncos that’s just too irresistible to reject?

Dallas could make a savvy move by suggesting a trade to Denver. They might consider a deal that includes a 2024 second-round pick, which could turn into a first-rounder if Dallas reaches the Super Bowl. Tossing in 2025 third and fifth-round picks could make the deal even more appealing.

Bringing in Surtain would give Dallas a new lockdown cornerback, which is particularly important with Trevon Diggs out for the year. This addition significantly boosts their chances of making a strong Super Bowl push. Meanwhile, Denver would receive valuable assets to help in their rebuilding journey.

Even though Surtain has been doing great, the Denver defense, as a whole, still has some room for improvement. It could be a smart move for them to think about trading him now. This way, they can get multiple draft picks to help with a complete roster overhaul. Plus, letting go of Surtain might give them a better shot at landing Caleb Williams, a highly sought-after talent.
