NFL FedEx Ground and NFL Offensive Player of the Week award winner Justin Fields has expressed his appreciation to Chicago Bears GM Ryan Poles for facilitating his move to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Shoutout to Poles, we communicated to him through my agent, and I told him where I wanted to be and this was a place I wanted to be, so he honored that and I appreciate him for that,” Fields said. As per the Fox43 report.

Even after Justin Fields set career highs with a 61.4% completion percentage and 2,562 passing yards in the last NFL season for the Chicago Bears, they traded him to the Steelers.

On March 16, 2022 Fields was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers after his agent talked to Bears general manager for the trade request. He was traded for the conditional sixth-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft and potential fourth round pick if he plays 51 percent of the Steelers’ snaps.
