Wilson said that Yes, they approached me to adjust the contract during the week we beat the Chiefs.
“Yeah, they approached me during the week we beat the Chiefs. They came up to me during the bye week, on Monday or Tuesday, and told me that if I didn’t change my contract, my injury guarantee would be voided, and I’d be benched for the rest of the year—there were about nine games left or so. I was definitely disappointed about it, and it was a process throughout the whole bye week. We had just come off beating the Chiefs, played a pretty good game against them, so I was excited for us fighting for the playoffs and getting on a hot streak.”
