Star Cornerback Kevin King Returns to NFL After 2 Years, Signs with Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons have made a significant addition to their roster by signing former Green Bay Packers cornerback Kevin King. This move marks King’s return to professional football after a hiatus since 2021.

Kevin King’s absence from the game was due to personal reasons during the 2022 season. Next year, he missed the entirety of the 2023 season due to a torn Achilles, an injury sustained during the offseason.

In this offseason, 2024, the Falcons decided to sign him; on April 8, 2024, King signed with the Atlanta Falcons after agreeing to terms.

As a second-round pick in the 2017 NFL draft, Kevin King made his debut for the Green Bay Packers. He played five seasons from 2017 to 2021, during which time he started 42 games and completed 197 combined tackles, 158 solo tackles, and 39 assists.

After being out for two NFL seasons, he got to restart his NFL career. The  Falcons show faith in his ability and choose him to make count in their defense. His return to the NFL will bolster the team’s secondary and contribute to their upcoming campaigns.

The Falcons’ decision to sign Kevin King reflects their confidence in his abilities and readiness to impact the field again. Fans are eager to see King wearing the Falcons’ colors in the upcoming season.
