Jacksonville Jaguars’ signal-caller, Trevor Lawrence, is currently in a day-to-day evaluation due to a knee injury in the lead-up to their Thursday Night showdown against the Saints this week. Lawrence’s status became uncertain when he was unable to complete the game during the Jaguars’ 37-20 victory over the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday, following the injury.

Trevor Lawrence’s knee took an unfortunate twist during the closing moments of Sunday’s game as Colts defender Samson Ebukam brought him down.

Thankfully, Lawrence managed to leave the field unaided, displaying his resilience. However, with the Jaguars in a comfortable lead, the prospect of Lawrence returning to the game seemed increasingly remote.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport provided an update on the situation, stating, “Jaguars’ quarterback Trevor Lawrence has undergone an MRI for his knee, and as of now, he’s listed as day-to-day. The prevailing belief is that there’s no significant injury, considering Lawrence completed the game. With a fast-approaching Thursday matchup, the optimistic outlook is that he’ll be fit and ready to go.”

According to injury expert Jeff Mueller, there is a theoretical possibility that Lawrence may have incurred MCL or meniscus damage during the incident mentioned. However, it’s essential to exercise caution in drawing conclusions, particularly since the Jaguars maintained a comfortable 37-20 lead at the time of Lawrence’s exit.

While the Jaguars officially categorized Lawrence as questionable due to his knee injury, it was C.J. Beathard who assumed the quarterback duties for the remainder of the game.
